She is particularly interested in developing newways to make statistics relevant and interesting to her studentsand has been teaching statistics in many differentmodes—with the TI-84 Plus, with MINITAB, and bydistance learning as well as in the traditional classroom. Since 1976, she hasbeen teaching all levels of mathematics at Bucks County Communit圜ollege in Newtown, Pennsylvania, where she currently holds therank of professor.  Betsy Farber receivedher Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from PennState University and her Master’s degree inmathematics from the College of New Jersey. Larson is a member of severalprofessional groups and is a frequent speaker at national andregional mathematics meetings. Larson is also one of the pioneers in the use ofmultimedia and the Internet to enhance the learning of mathematics.He has authored multimedia programs, extending from the elementaryschool through calculus levels. Many of his texts, suchas the tenth edition of his calculus text, are leaders in theirmarkets. Larson is thelead author of more than two dozen mathematics textbooks that rangefrom sixth grade through calculus levels. At that time he accepted aposition with Penn State University, and he currently holds therank of professor of mathematics at the university. in mathematics fromthe University of Colorado in 1970.
